Fans of Transformers may be in for a pleasant surprise with this news. A Japanese company by the name, Brave Robotics, is busy creating a real-life humanoid robot that can morph into a car and can drive at a speed of 60kmph.
Weighing in at around 700kg this robot in its humanoid form can walk at 30kmph with wheels and at 10kmph on foot. This machine can transform in less than 10 seconds into a two-wheeler passenger vehicle that can be controlled from the cockpit or remotely, according to reports.

The robot is powered by V-Sido operating-system software designed by Asratec. The Japanese company calls its model J-deite RIDE, and claims it will be the first in the series that will be large enough to carry people.
J-deite is the brainchild of Brave Robotics’s, Kenji Ishida, who has been working to build a transformable robot since his teens, according to his biography on the company’s website. It’s unclear at this point whether the machine will be commercially available.
