Chetak Key Highlights
Price: The Bajaj Chetak 2903 is priced at Rs 99,998. The Chetak Blue 3202 costs Rs 1,15,081 while the Bajaj Chetak Premium costs Rs 1,47,243. The Chetak 3201 Special Edition is priced at Rs 1,28,744 (all prices ex-showroom Bengaluru)
Design: The Chetak stands out because its body is made entirely of metal, unlike many other electric scooters. It's got a classic look inspired by the OG petrol-powered Chetak. It's also got some cool features like a retractable hook under the seat for your bag and sleek rear view mirrors. The quality of the buttons and switches is really good, and little details like the brushed metal around the LED headlight make it look classy.
Features: The Premium version has a new 5-inch screen that's easy to read. It also comes with cool stuff like sequential indicators, locks for the handles and steering, a switch to open the seat, and a light inside the underseat storage. Both the 3201 SE and Premium versions now come with the optional TECPAC package that adds extra features like navigation, music control, and call/notification alerts.
Motor: The Chetak has a 4.2kWh electric motor with the Eco mode as standard across all variants. The optional TecPac add-on gives each variant a Sports mode and a reverse mode. It has a a claimed top speed of 73kmph on the 3202 and Premium, and 63kmph on the 2903. The Premium has a claimed range of 126km, 3202 has 137km, 3201 SE has 136km and the base variant 2903 has 123km. If you get the Premium version, you also get a faster charger that can give you 15.6km of range in just 30 minutes.
Suspension, Brakes & Other Details: The Chetak gets a trailing link front suspension, a monoshock on the rear, and 12-inch alloy wheels shod with MRF Zapper tyres. It gets a disc brake up front and a drum brake at the rear on the Premium variant, while the other two get only drum brakes on both wheels.
Rivals: The Chetak competes with other electric scooters like the Ampere Nexus, Ola S1 Air, Ather Rizta, Ather 450S and TVS iQube Electric.
Range: In our test, the Premium version was able to go 113.9km on a single charge. However, claimed range on the 3202 is 137km, 3201 has 136km and on the 2901 is 123km.
Charging Time: The Premium version can be fully charged in 4 hours 30 minutes, the 3202 in 5 hours 50 minutes, the 3201 SE in 5 hours and 30 minutes and the 2901 in 6 hours.

The Chetak electric scooter, the bikemaker’s first modern electric scooter, was a big step forward for Bajaj, as it was best known for its motorcycles. It's a modern version of the classic (petrol-powered) Chetak scooter, which was a game-changer in the Indian two-wheeler space.
