BMW has launched the new 5 Series M Sport ‘Carbon Edition’ at Rs 66.30 lakh (ex-showroom) in India. It is based on the 530i M Sport, and is Rs 2.90 lakh more expensive than it.
The Carbon Edition packs a host of carbon fibre elements on the kidney grille, ORVMs, splitter, inserts on the bumper, and the rear spoiler. The new trim comes in an exclusive Alpine White body shade, specced with Jet Black alloys. Mechanically, it borrows the standard models 252PS 2-litre petrol unit coupled with an 8-speed automatic.
The BMW 5 Series’ pricing now ranges from Rs 63.40 lakh to Rs 73.50 lakh (ex-showroom, India). It competes against other luxury sedans, including the Mercedes-Benz E Class, Audi A6, and Volvo S90.
