The Citroen Basalt has been crash tested by Bharat NCAP and has secured an impressive four stars for both Adult and Child Occupant protection. It’s the first Citroen car to be tested by Bharat NCAP. Citroen has revealed the full price range of the newly launched Basalt in India, ranging from Rs 7.99 lakhs to Rs 13.62 lakh (ex-showroom). Bookings are open for a token amount of Rs 11,001, and these prices will only be applicable for deliveries until 31 October. The Basalt marks the fifth offering of the French automaker as well as the third model in their C-Cubed Program following the C3 and C3 Aircross. It features a coupe built with a sloping roofline, high ground clearance, LED DRLs and rugged design elements besides a 1.2-litre naturally-aspirated and a 1.2-litre turbo petrol engine.
