The 250 Duke was developed for South-East Asian markets specifically, but has now been launched in India as well. Its primary role is to slot in between the highly acclaimed 200 and 390 Dukes, and KTM says the 250 Duke could be a veritable upgrade for existing owners of the 200 Duke. It isn’t significantly expensive than the 200 Duke, and also distances itself significantly from the all-new 390 Duke’s pricing, which gets a lot more technology and equipment now. The 250 Duke’s design is inspired by KTM’s flagship naked, the 1290 SuperDuke R and similar to the new 390 Duke’s.
The 250 Duke borrows the new chassis and higher end cycle parts from the new 390 Duke, which make it a lot more premium than the 200 Duke. On the performance front the 250 Duke uses a bored-down version of the 390 Duke’s engine, which is a 248cc, liquid-cooled single cylinder that offers 30PS of power and 24Nm of torque.
