This is the brand-new 2021 Maruti Suzuki Celerio, but before we get to it let's rewind the clock by seven years. When the first-generation car was launched in 2014, it was crystal clear what Maruti Suzuki was trying to do. It was a more modernised and stylised version of the Wagon R which would appeal to the youth and it worked for them with it selling in decent numbers.
The 2021 Celerio gets an all-new exterior and interior and although it still uses a 1.0L engine as the old car, it is heavily reworked to provide better performance and fuel efficiency. The new Celerio is priced between Rs 4.99-6.94 lakh ex-showroom and rivals the likes of the Maruti Suzuki Wagon R, Tata Tiago and Hyundai Santro.
