On the day the mighty Suzuki Hayabusa made its India debut, Suzuki Japan showcased the 2021 GSX-S1000 to the world. The new bike has received both cosmetic and mechanical changes. In this video we will be focusing on the major highlights of the flagship naked bike from Suzuki!
The 2021 model gets a vertically stacked LED headlight. While we think it looks aggressive, opinions have been quite polarising. One big miss though is a colour TFT screen as the bike sports a LCD instrument console which, if we’re being honest, looks dated.
Suzuki engineers have updated the older motor to meet the new Euro 5 emissions norms. Despite being kinder to mother nature, the new engine makes 2PS more than the older bike. Torque, however, is down by 2Nm.
We expect the new bike to go on sale in our market since the older bike was also on sale here. It could make its India debut in late 2021 with a price tag of around Rs 12 to 13 lakh. It will compete against the Honda CB1000 and the Kawasaki Z900.
