Twenty years after launching the original Pulsar 150, Bajaj has finally launched an all-new Pulsar 150 in the form of the P150. That’s because this is the first time since 2002 that Bajaj has given the Pulsar 150 a new engine, new chassis and new design all at once. It does share its design with the N160 and also has its engine derived from the same bike. Although not the most powerful engine in its class, Bajaj has designed it to deliver a lot of usable torque throughout is rev range, making it extremely tractable in city conditions.
Also, compared to the last gen Pulsar 150, this new P150 has shed about 10kg of weight, making it super nimble as well. Bajaj offers this P150 in two variants - Twin Disc, which gets disc brakes at both ends and Single Disc, which gets a disc brake at the front and a drum at the rear. Apart from this, these two variants also differ in their ergonomics, with the Twin Disc feeling a lot sportier to straddle while the seating position on the Single Disc is more commuter friendly. The P150 is priced at Rs 1.17 lakh and 1.20 lakh for the Single Disc and Twin Disc variants respectively (both prices ex-showroom Delhi).
