BMW X7 will be available in two variants, xDrive30d & xDrive 40i. The X7 xDrive30d variant is powered 3.0-litre six-cylinder turbocharged diesel engine making 256PS and 620Nm. The xDrive 40i gets a 3.0-litre petrol unit that generates 340PS and 450NM. Both engines come mated to an 8-speed automatic gearbox. We still have to wait for a while for the top-of-the-line M50d variant of the X7 as BMW has not launched it here yet.
Inside, the X7 will be equipped with dual 12.3-inch displays for the instrument cluster and infotainment, four-zone climate control and six-colour ambient lighting. Also on offer will be auto parking, a three-section panoramic sunroof, air suspension at both axles, ambient air package with six fragrances (optional) and a 1500W 20-speaker Bowers & Wilkins 3D sound system (optional).
Apart from the humongous new kidney grille, the 7 Series facelift is actually sleeker and sportier-looking than before. While it is still available only in the long-wheelbase version, the 7 Series facelift is offered in a total of 6 variants - this includes the 6.6-litre V12 equipped M760Li xDrive (0-100kmph in 3.8 seconds) and the plug-in hybrid 745Le xDrive (58km of pure electric range).
