Maruti Suzuki has taken the wraps off the Grand Vitara, it's compact crossover to take on the Hyundai Creta and it's rivals. The Grand Vitara is also the sister car of the Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder both being based on the jointly developed TECT platform that's based on Suzuki's Global-C platform.
Features highlights include ventilated seats, 6-airbags, HUD, digital drivers dash, panoramic sunroof, wireless charging, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.
There are two different 1500cc petrol engines: a 4-cylinder mild hybrid and a 3-cylinder strong hybrid engine. The mild hybrid is familiar to Maruti and is the same unit in the Ertiga, S-Cross and Brezza, and is available with a 5-speed manual and a 6-speed automatic. The manual is also further available in either a front wheel drive or an AWD AllGrip drive option. The strong hybrid is only available with a eCVT automatic transmission.
