MG Motor has big plans for India which are set to kick off with the launch of a new SUV in 2019. The SUV will likely be based on the Baojun 530 which also forms the base for the recently unveiled Chevrolet Captiva. MG is also planning to bring in an electric SUV by 2020.
We caught up with MG on its tour of India showcasing its range of global cars for prospective customers. And got some valuable insight into MG’s future plans for India. MG will be launching not two but three SUVs in India, one will be an electric SUV which could be the eZS and the upcoming Baojun 530 based SUV will be offered as a 5-seater, at least initially. But in the meantime we take you through the international MG models and explain the camaker’s signature design elements, build quality and features in this video.
