The MV Agusta Turismo Veloce 800 has been launched in India priced at Rs 18.99 lakh (ex-showroom), with the first 3 customers being offered a lower price tag of Rs 16.99 lakh. The Turismo Veloce is MV Agusta’s first sport-touring motorcycle. While it's essentially a Brutale 800 underneath, the bike receives a host of changes to differentiate it from the streetfighter. It uses the same 798cc inline 3-cylinder engine motor that powers the Brutale 800 but it's been retuned to produce 111.5PS and 80Nm, which is 1.5PS more but 3Nm lower than the Brutale’s power figures. Its 6-speed transmission is aided by a bi-directional quick-shifter for clutchless shifting. The suspension is raised while the frame is strengthened for lugging extra load. The Turismo Veloce 800 competes against the Ducati Multistrada 950 and Triumph Tiger 800 XRx.
