MV Agusta Turismo Veloce 800
MV Agusta Turismo Veloce 800 Overview
MV Agusta has launched the Turismo Veloce at Rs 18.99 lakh (ex-showroom India). MV Agusta calls it an adventure tourer for the road. The bike gets a long-travel suspension setup, an upright seating position, knuckle guards and a tall windshield. It, however, gets 17-inch alloy wheels with road-biased tyres, which limits its usage to the road. Features include all-LED lighting and a fully digital instrument console. Know more about the bike here.
It gets a 798cc, inline 3-cylinder motor that makes 111.5PS and 80Nm. Electronic rider aids come in the form of four rider modes, 8-level traction control and cornering ABS. While there is a semi-automatic gearbox variant available abroad, we get the base variant with a 6-speed manual transmission and a bi-directional quickshifter. The semi-automatic gearbox equipped SCS variant will be launched here next year.
The suspension setup includes a fully-adjustable long-travel Marzocchi USD fork and a fully-adjustable Sachs monoshock. Braking hardware includes dual 320mm discs with 4-piston radial calipers and a 220mm rear disc.
Competition comes in the form of the Ducati Multistrada 950 (Rs 12.95 lakh) and Triumph Tiger 800 XRx (Rs 13.39 lakh).
