The Skoda Kodiaq RS is a very special SUV for the Czech brand. Not only is it the first SUV from Skoda to wear the prestigious ‘vRS’ badge, it also holds the Nurburgring lap record for the fastest 7-seater. All of this performance comes from a 2.0-litre diesel engine which is fed air by two turbochargers. It makes 240PS of power and a massive 500Nm of torque. Combined with the AWD and the 7-speed DSG gearbox, the Kodiaq RS goes from 0-100kmph in a claimed 7 seconds. Keep the throttle pressed and the Kodiaq will reach a capped 220kmph top speed. Further helping the dynamics of the SUC are systems like the Progressive Steering and the Dynamic Chassis Control which can alter the damping of the suspension according to the mode selected by the driver. Even inside the cabin, you gets a trick called the Dynamic Sound Boost which amplifies the sound from the exhaust inside the cabin through the speakers, which makes this 2-litre diesel sound like a V8 petrol in Sports Mode!
