Tata Motors took the wraps off the Nexon EV in India today. It’s Tata Motors’ second EV model after the Tigor EV in India. The Nexon EV debuts the carmaker’s new Ziptron electric powertrain.
The Ziptron powertrain consists of a permanent magnet AC motor that develops 129PS of power and 245Nm of torque. It draws power from a 30.2kWH battery pack and Tata Motors claims it’ll offer more than 300km of range.
Bookings for the Nexon EV are set to open tomorrow for a token of Rs 21,000. It’s expected to be priced between Rs 15 lakh and Rs 17 lakh (ex-showroom).
