India’s first indigenously developed electric motorcycle is here! The Tork Kratos is available in two variants - standard and R variant. The Kratos is priced at Rs 1,32,499 and the Kratos R retails at Rs 1,47,499 (both ex-showroom Pune). Bookings can be made on the Tork’s website with a token amount of Rs 999 and deliveries will commence in April.
Talking about power, the Kratos sports a 4kW axial flux motor that pushes out 7.5kW of peak power for the base model and 9kW for the Kratos R. The torque varies from 28Nm for the Kratos and 38Nm for the Kratos R. With a 4kWh lithium-ion battery, Tork claims that the Kratos offers 180km of IDC range and 120km of real world range.
The Kratos R’s battery can be charged to 80 percent in less than an hour using the fast charging. Top-speed is limited to 100kmph for the standard model and 105kmph for the R variant. As for the 0-40kmph acceleration, the standard model can take 4 seconds and the R model does it in 3.5 seconds. The Tork Kratos competes against the Revolt RV400.
