- It’s based on the MQB-A0-IN platform that’s been localised for India.
- It only gets a turbo-petrol engine.
- Its design draws inspiration from the T-Cross SUV that VW sells globally.
- It will be launched in India sometime in 2021.
As part of their Vision 2.0 for India, the Skoda Volkswagen Auto India Group is bringing in a host of new products to the Indian market. The compact SUV from Volkswagen is the first of those. The group has even decided to ditch diesel engines for their smaller cars and are instead looking at CNG as a viable option. The Volkswagen compact SUV shares its underpinnings with the Skoda compact SUV as well. When launched, it will compete with the likes of the new Hyundai Creta and Kia Seltos.
