The ZS EV is only MG’s second product for the Indian market and yet, it is their first EV. And not just that, they are one of the first manufacturers to bring in a long-range EV into the Indian market. All of that despite the fact that they haven’t been around on our shores for even a year.
It has one electric motor that makes 143PS and 353Nm of torque that draws its power from a 44.5kWh IP67-rated battery pack, giving it an ARAI-certified range of 340km. Using a 7.4kWh wall charger, this battery can be topped up from 0 to 100 per cent in 6 to 8 hours. Using a fast charger, you can top it from 0 to 80 per cent in under an hour.
MG has thrown in features such as a panoramic sunroof, a PM2.5 air filter, a tyre pressure monitoring system, leather seats, six airbags and iSMART connected features to up its premiumness quotient.
It is available in two variants: Excite and Exclusive.
