It is likely to be priced around the Rs 2 lakh (ex-showroom) mark. The KLX230 S is expected to launch in around October 2024.

The Kawasaki KLX230 is powered by a 233cc air-cooled 2-valve single-cylinder engine which produces 18.1PS and 18.3Nm, paired with a six-speed gearbox.

The bike is equipped with a perimeter frame, it has a 37mm telescopic fork with 240mm wheel travel, and a monoshock with 250mm rear wheel travel. Braking is managed by 240mm front and 220mm rear petal discs. It gets dual-channel ABS, with switchable rear ABS.. The KLX230 S rides on 21-inch front and 18-inch rear spoked wheels. The bike has a seat height of 880mm, which is quite tall. The kerb weight comes to 134kg.

The bike gets a simple LCD instrument cluster, which shows only the essential information like the speedometer, odometer, trip meter, fuel gauge, and a digital clock. The console offers bluetooth connectivity which brings features such as call/sms and email alerts. The bike has a 7.5-litre fuel tank capacity.

The Kawasaki KLX230 will be a more expensive alternative to the Hero Xpulse 200 4V.
