- Yes, the ground clearance is poor but if you install after market exhaust system then it increases by around 40 mm. Although it would not be road legal.
- For the availability, we would suggest you please connect with the nearest authorized dealership in your city as it depends on their stock book. Follow the link and select your desired city for dealership details.
- Kawasaki Vulcan S is available in 1 different colours - Black.
- Kawasaki has already launched the BS6-compliant Vulcan S in India. It is priced at Rs. 5.94 Lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). It's powered by a BS6-compliant 650cc, liquid-cooled, parallel-twin engine which makes 61PS of power at 7500rpm and 63Nm of torque at 6600rpm. Moreover, it would be unfair to give a verdict here on the future availability.
- Yes, it does and also a reserve warning light.
- Kawasaki Vulcan S features a semi-digital instrument cluster with a digital fuel gauge.
- You need to almost stop at speed breakers because the way these morons make them is horrible especially with a pillion rider and get a silencer protection or else it will scrap often.
- I am too planning to buy a Vulcan S, but it seems the ground clearance of 13 cm is very low.
- It does hinder the ride around Speed bumps. Rider needs to get the bike to almost complete halt while going over the Speed bumps. Trust me - I’ve been riding a Vulcan for 8 months !
- Yes, me and my wife always go on rides together. We have completed rajasthan tour of 2500+km in 20 days. Ratlam to dehradun and nearby hill top locations (3000+ kms), Ratpam to pachmari (1500+kms) Ratlam to alibaug, goa and nearby areas ( 3500+kms) Still I will point out few things. The seats (rider and pillion both) of vulcan are bit hard, especially as the width of pillion seat is not enough, it gives lower back and Gluteus. Even for rider seat after few hours even with interval rests, the rider starts feeling stress in lower back, Shoulders, Scapula and Gluteus too. (Usually shoulder and scapula pains started after 10hrs of rides)For that I started using air seats for me and my wife, aditionally we both started using level 2 riding jackets, that gave both of us support on back and shoulders, padded gloves as after long time driving due to vibrations forearms starts to pain.So finally We are riding really good and the longest performed ride of ours with about 32 kg luggage was dehradun to ratlam which took us about 18 hrs (including 10-20 minutes rest about every 1 ot 1.30 hrs.
- Sure you can.. Vulcan S is meant for long leisurely rides on highways ( rather than weaving through bumper to bumper City traffic ). I got my Pillion backrest made by Dochaki Customs, Pune which provides added comfort to the pillion.
- Absolutely. Adding a backrest for the pillion makes things significantly better though.
- First service (1000 KM) cost me Rs 6K and second service (6000 KM) cost me Rs 8.4 K which included Air Filter change.
- I've completed the first service and it cost me around Rs4500 which included oil change.
- It depends on your usage.after a long drive just brush up the dust and check the condition of the bike and make it look like dashing anywhere
- Overall about 18 to 20. Giving it a range of about 180 kms before you have to refuel.
- Around 20 KMPL. Low ground clearance is a bit of concern if you're not careful around Speed bumps.
- I get about 19 to 20 in the city and 22-24 on the highway if I ride economically.
- Not without aftermarket exhaust system. With a pillion the stock exhaust scrapes at every bump.
- For Very steep bumpers nothing can save you from scratching the bottom .
- No. 130 mm ground clearance makes it a little difficult.

4.2Reliable cruiser
Most reliable cruiser.Solid, High quality frame and parts as expected from kawasaki.Having a forward placed parallel twin engine, There is minimum heat felt around the thighs giving it more advantage over the popular v twin engine cruisers. Also parallel twin reduces the vibration of the vehicle, Elongating the life of all the parts.Engine mapping could have been improved as it is still sporty like the other models of kawasaki fitting with the same 650cc engine. The bike always seems to be in an accelerated mode and never seems to settle down at cruising speeds between 100 to 125 kmps.Having listed the pros here are few cons too: poor ground clearance due to bulky catalytic converter and long wheel base.Uninteresting exhaust note.Expensive spare parts. In my opinion: the most practical and reliable cruiser that is available in india at the moment if it is within the buyer's budget.

4.2Exhaust sound
After a 2000 km ride and much more experience with Vulcan S bike. I am surprised by its performance. It is quick and fast for a cruiser. It is a sportbike with a cruiser body. Because it is an expensive bike. I just wish it has more features like riding modes etc. Builds quality is awesome. I can't feel the vibration at all. It's heavy, but again because of the low seat height. You cannot feel the weight. The con side of the bike is that I hate the exhaust sound, and there are very limited accessories in India. The maintenance is high.

Very comfortable, reliable
Very comfortable, Reliable and plenty of power to cruise at highway speeds.I've put 5000miles on mine in the first year just chain maintenance and oil changes and the bike will run forever. It has lots of low end torque so off the line this bike moves but if you cruising at 70 mph mostly any other parallel twin naked bike will leave you in the dust. But that fine with me this bake checks all the boxes and it looks good as well for the price.
