Kawasaki Z500

Price: The Kawasaki Z500 is expected to be priced at around Rs 5.2 lakh (ex-showroom) and is likely to be launched by 2024-end.

Features: The Kawasaki Z500 comes with an LCD instrument cluster on the standard variant and a TFT console in the top-end SE variant. They both come with smartphone connectivity via the Kawasaki Rideology App, and show notifications, riding logs, and community features. Other features in the console includes a real-time mileage indicator, gear position indicator, and clock. The Z500 gets an all-LED lighting too.

Engine: The Kawasaki Z500 has a 451cc liquid-cooled, parallel-twin engine making 45.4PS @ 9000 rpm and 42.6Nm @ 6000 rpm. The engine is paired with 6-speed transmission with assist and slipper clutch.

Suspension, Brakes & Other Details: The Kawasaki Z500 comes with a 41mm telescopic fork and a bottom-link, gas-charged monoshock with preload adjustability. The bikes get a 310mm disc up front and a 220mm disc brake at the rear, along with dual-channel ABS. The bike rolls on 17-inch wheels shod with 110-section front and a 150-section rear radial tubeless tyres. The Z500 has a ground clearance of 145mm with a seat height of 785mm. It comes with a 14-litre fuel tank, and weighs 167kg kerb.

Rivals: The Kawasaki Z500 competes with the Yamaha MT-03, KTM Duke 390, and the Zontes 350R.
