Q. I want to compare Lexus LS with new Mercedes Benz S-class.
  • Both Mercedes-Benz S-Class and Lexus LS are top-notch premium sedans from the respective carmakers that offers a lot of features and class interiors. The 2021 Lexus LS has been revealed and it gets a few cosmetic changes and plenty of new features. The biggest change is the addition of a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system that features Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Other changes include steering-mounted controls finished in black for better legibility and repositioned controls for the heated steering wheel and seats. The LS 500h, as the name suggests, gets a hybrid powertrain which consists of a 3.5-litre V6 petrol engine and two electric motors. They have a combined power output of 354PS. Power is sent to the rear wheels via a 10-speed eCVT gearbox. On the other hand, the Merc is available with two engine options: a 3.0-litre inline-six, BSVI-compliant diesel engine that generates 286PS of power and 400Nm of torque and a 3.0-litre V6 petrol engine that makes 367PS of power and 500Nm of torque. I am really taken by my friend's Lexus LS. Its sophisticated design makes the automobile the height of luxury. The headlamps and large front grille of the sleek exterior complete the look. It works great for lengthy interstate drives as well as city driving. The Lexus LS is a really opulent car indoors. The chairs are really soft and fashioned of the best leather. Family vacations will find it perfect because there is enough of room for five people. Large touchscreen for navigation and entertainment adorns the contemporary dashboard. I adore the quietness of the car and the extremely smooth ride. The cutting edge safety measures are one aspect I truly value. I drive feeling really safe thanks to it. I would want a little simpler usage of the entertainment system, though. Navigation through the options might be a little challenging at times. All things considered, I am really pleased with my friend's Lexus. Long drives and regular commutes are both made in this excellent vehicle. Better still would be an infotainment system upgrade.

Owning a Lexus LS has been an exceptional experience. From the moment I step inside the car spells sophistication. The LS model featuring a robust 3.5 liter V6 engine that outputs a substantial 416 horsepower is a testament to perfection. It is the kind of power and elegance that molds together beautifully. Driving this car through city streets and on highways it is smooth thanks to its adaptive variable suspension. The size of the Lexus LS can be a bit difficult to handle in densely populated Indian cities where navigating through tight spaces can become quite a challenge.

Hard to beat ride as for as comfort, cabin noise, and reliability is concerned. One could be going 160 Kms/hr and inside car, one does not realize it unless look at speedometer. All the cars made by Toyota (Lexus being luxury brand of Toyota are legendary as for as reliability goes. Lexus does need to catch up with driver assist features and other electronic bell and whistles. I thing its wonderful family car for long drives. For daily commute, in some Indian Cities it might be difficult to maneuver and parking etc as it is relatively large car
