The epitome of luxury, Mercedes S Class retails in India at a hefty price tag of Rs 1.33-2.73 crore (ex-showroom, Delhi). On the outside, S-Class comes with upright front grille, multi- beam LED headlamps, panoramic sunroof, and LED crystal look tail lamps. Inside the cabin, the S class is equipped with COMAND online with touchpad, rear seat entertainment system, Burmester surround sound system, rear seat massage function, memory package, powered rear seats, ambient lighting, automatic climate control, driver and passenger front, rear and side airbags, traction control system, electronic stability program, and air balance package. Under the Hood, there is a pair of 3.0-liter petrol and diesel engine capable of putting out 282 BHP/600Nm and 362 BHP/500Nm respectively, both mated to a 7-speed automatic transmission. In terms of competition, Mercedes Benz S class has got the likes of Audi A8, BMW 7 series, Jaguar XJ and Lexus LS in its crosshairs among others.

Mercedes-Benz S-Class 2012-2021 Overview

Mercedes-Benz has added a ‘Maestro Edition’ to the S-class lineup. This special edition variant is based on the S 350d and comes with cosmetic updates, new features, and the latest tech. It is powered by a 286PS 3.0-litre diesel engine and adds features such as Mercedes Me connected car tech, panoramic sunroof with Magic Sky as well as Alexa Home and Google Home integration to help you spot a parking location. This new variant also gets a Nut Brown interior upholstery with a white exterior colour option, which was earlier limited to the Maybach S-Class.

The S-class ‘Maestro Edition’ is priced at Rs 1.51 crore, Rs 13 lakh more than its base S 350d variant.

The 2021 Lexus LS has been revealed and it gets a few cosmetic changes and plenty of new features.
