Latest Updates on SuperSport 950
The Ducati SuperSport 950 goes on sale in India at Rs 13.49 lakh (ex-showroom, India). The S trim costs Rs 15.49 lakh, and for Rs 20,000 more, you can get the S model in the Arctic White Silk shade. The price bump is quite significant, especially considering that the changes to the bike aren’t very comprehensive. Head here for more details.
Yes, the 2021 model gets a new look that’s inspired from the Panigale siblings, with improved aero efficiency. Also, the engine hasn’t lost any performance, and the electronic suite is aided by a Bosch six-axis IMU.
It continues to be powered by the 937cc Testastretta L-twin motor that makes 110PS at 9500rpm and 93Nm at 6500rpm. A six-speed gearbox with a slipper clutch and bi-directional quickshifter is standard on both trims. The rider aids include three rider modes (Urban, Touring, and Sport), traction control, wheelie control and ABS, all of which are IMU-assisted.
On the standard model, you get a 43mm Marzocchi USD fork/Sachs monoshock setup whereas the S model gets highly sophisticated Ohlins suspension. All units are fully adjustable. Like the previous model, Brembo M4.32 monobloc calipers anchor the bike. What’s new, though, is the Brembo front radial master-cylinder. Lastly, the 3-spoke Y-shaped alloy wheels are shod with grippy Pirelli Diablo Rosso 3 tyres.
The Ducati SuperSport S locks horns with the Kawasaki Ninja 1000 SX. While the Aprilia RS 660 has a smaller motor, it falls in the same genre of motorcycle as the Ducati. For the asking price, you could also consider the Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10R, the Suzuki Hayabusa and the Aprilia Tuono 660.

- It would be unfair to give a verdict here as Ducati Monster 1200 has been discontinued and is not available for sale in the market. As for the 2021 Ducati SuperSport 950 hasn't launched yet, so we would suggest you to wait for the bike to launch. Follow the link to get an alert when 2021 Ducati SuperSport 950.
- It is surprisingly easy to ride in a hurry, requires little inputs in traffic, and is a bike you can live with on a daily basis. Like a Multistrada. Obviously, it can’t go off the road like a Multistrada, but it is sharper and dynamically more capable. City riding in Urban mode needs some getting used to as you have to account for the lack of horses and the lag in throttle, courtesy of the heavy DTC intervention. Ride improves with speed and the Supersport loses composure only on sharp ridges, resulting in the front skipping a bit. The front end feels a tad heavy to steer and needs some getting used to. It makes the performance more accessible to newer riders, though, and easy to ride in traffic as well. Moreover, we would suggest you to take a test ride before making the final decision. Follow the link and select your desired city for dealership details.
- Ergonomically speaking among only these three bikes street triple RS is better in city roads compared to other two bikes you mention in terms of handling between cars and bumper to bumper traffic and less heat too but in terms of design and power ducati win it all if you are kind of a person likes to show off ducati diavel 2019 is gonna be the most unique bike and most powerful among the three you mentioned but its too bulky ....it actually narrows down to your choice of ride what you prefer more
- Yes, it has a pretty comfortable seat for a pillion, grabrails are an accessory. Seat cowl comes as standard for S model and is removable, for standard model it's available as an accessory as well
- I have done rides upto 600km to and fro and the pillion was comfortable, rest depends on the person also. But in general its pretty decent back seat, wide and well cushioned.
- Sure go ahead, much more cheaper option.
