Price: TVS Star City Plus comes in two variants. The dual-tone drum variant costs Rs 76,820 and dual-tone disc variant comes at a cost of Rs 79,970 (prices ex-showroom Delhi).
Design: TVS Star City Plus looks more premium than TVS Radeon, thanks to its bikini fairing, dual-tone mirrors and muffler guard, and a 3D logo. It features a dual-tone seat and sculpted fuel-tank. It looks mature enough to appeal to those who are looking for a premium-looking yet an affordable commuter motorcycle.
Features: TVS Star City Plus is the first in its segment to get an all-LED headlight unit. The tail lamp and indicators, however, are halogens. The bike features an analogue instrument cluster for speedometer and a digital display to show fuel gauge and odometer. Apart from other tell-tale lights, it also has a service indicator and Eco/Power mode indicator (also known as Econometer. This feature lights up the Eco or Power mode indicator based on the riding style).
Engine: TVS Star City Plus is powered by a single-cylinder, 109.7cc, air-cooled, fuel-injected engine, producing 8.08PS and 8.7Nm. It works in conjunction with a four-speed transmission. The underpinnings include a telescopic front-fork and five-step pre-load-adjustable twin rear-shocks. Braking is handled by a 240mm disc/130mm drum (front) and 110mm drum (rear). CBS comes as standard on the motorcycle. The bike weighs 115kg (drum variant) and 116kg (disc variant) on the kerb and has a ground clearance of 172mm.
Rivals: The TVS Star City Plus goes up against the likes of the Honda Shine 100, and Hero Passion Pro. In a similar price range you could also go for the Ampere Magnus EX.
Variants: The drum variant of this bike comes in five colours: Black Blue, Black Red, Blue Silver, Grey Black and Red Black. The disc variant is available in three colours: Black Red, Blue Silver and Grey Black. Apart from the colours and differences in the front brake, the two variants remain the same mechanically.
