Depends.. which city do you live in.. its climate and road conditions.. Duke 390 is a kind of sport bike and is meant to race hence it does not have soft suspension for giving the rider stability on roads. If you live in a city like Pune where traffic is much lesser than bangalore.. delhi etc. and even roads are broad and good.. properly maintained with less potholes then Duke 390 is a good choice for daily commute.. If in case you live in a city which is full of slow moving traffic.. roads with potholes and climate conditions having hot climate most of the times then Duke 390 is not at all the right choice for daily commute as you will feel tired while riding the bike, will also feel p****d coz you will not be able to use bike’s potential for which you have paid so much... You will end up facing lots and lots of heating issues near your leg and foot.. Your mileage will be somewhere around 25-26 kmpl. And you will not be able to overtake other vehicles in a slow moving traffic as duke 390 has the widest handlebar among all the street n***d bikes.

Yes you can but you need to test ride and think of your future if you can Handel that bike not in terms of power as well as braking which very sharp for first bike and also how easy you will be on throttle and you will take more time to learn bike on duke 390 because you cant push it as hard as new rider
