Honda Unicorn has a 5 geared system. The gear pattern is 1 down and 4 up. For 1st gear, you have to press the gear down from neutral position. For reaching second gear pull the gear up a bit hard from the current position and shift the gear up for 3rd,4th, and 5th position.
