• Q. I currently have a Suzuki DR 650 and I am looking at trading up to a Triumph Tiger 800. I am 189cm tall and a few tigers that I have looked at too low. What model should I be looking for?

Triumph has launched the Tiger 900 at a premium of Rs 30,700 over its predecessor - the 800. Triumph has upped the displacement on its middleweight Tiger with the inline three-cylinder engine now displacing 888cc. Max power remains the same at 95PS like the old motor but torque has seen a sizeable bump up to 87Nm, which is 8Nm more. The bike now offers better low- and mid-range response, top-spec adjustable suspension and Brembo Stylema calipers and engine’s new punchy characteristics. Moreover, the 870mm seat height may look a bit daunting on spec sheet but the bike is fairly manageable. For a better understanding of compatibility and riding comfort, we would suggest you to take a test ride.
