    No, it isn't necessary to keep 2-3 liters of fuel in the bike. As there is no separate fuel tank in the bike, the low fuel indicator starts warning when there is around 1.5 to 2 liter petrol is remaining so that you can reach to the nearest petrol pump.

    The company mechanic said 'you have to maintain minimum 2L petrol to keep the pump unit healthy which is not come to warranty and you have to pay 8k to 9k if it not work due to low petrol.'

    No need to keep 2.5 L. Just check that the fuel indicator does not come down the red mark in the fuel meter.
