The Interceptor 650 can be used for adventure touring except for the following conditions:1.Being a tube type tyre a correct tyre pressure is very important to prevent a puncture.2.The tyres are not suitable for muddy roads because it meanders in mud and what if the bike falls it is impossible to push the bike through the mud.3.Keep the battery in best charged condition always as it doesn't have a kick starter.Hope this helps! Happy riding!

Himalayan is best for touring because of excellent suspension setup & Brakes. . INT 650 has a weak front suspension & worst Rear Brake which acts like drum brake not ABS (Un-trustable rear brake). Plus it cannot handle very rough roads . Priority pillion rider cannot be accommodated for touring. INT 650 has a powerful engine & Gearbox mounted Retro looking in a inferior quality components filled bike. It will thrill you in short bursts & Rides in good roads.

Nope. Its a pure street bike with limited travel suspensions. You may want to consider something like the Triumph Tiger. The upcoming KTM 390 Adventure will also be a good option if you are looking for something slightly cheaper.
