Q. Which is the best bike between Honda Unicorn 150 and Apache RTR 160?
824 Views Follow Question Add Answer124 AnswersSidharth | 5 years agoIt all depends on which type of a motorcycle you like. If you travel long distances, over rough roads and still want a fuel economic vehicle go for the Honda CB Unicorn 150. It is a tall bike with a refined engine, a comfortable sitting position and has a mind boggling fuel economy. It can carry you comfortably over long distances with absolute royalty. Where as, the TVS Apache RTR 160 is a muscular bike. It is light, fast and also economical but not as much as the Unicorn. The Apache is styled well, has an insane performance for the size of its engine and is an absolute delight to ride. But the sitting position is aggressive and over long distances may cause your neck and spine to hurt a bit. So choose wise.
Dillip | 2 years agoIt would be unfair to give a verdict here as Honda CB Unicorn 150 has been discontinued and is not available for sale in the market. On the other hand, While TVS has done well in reviving the Apache RTR 160 2V with a fuel-injected motor, it could have done better by offering it a new bodywork and additional features, something it has done with the Apache RTR 160 4V and Apache RTR 200 4V. However, given the RTR 160 2V BS6’s low pricing, it is a viable and relevant stepping stone into the 160cc segment. Moreover, we would suggest you to take a test ride before making the final decision. Follow the link and select your desired city for dealership details.
Renjith | 6 years agoIf you are looking decent style, mileage and refined engines go with unicorn. Other two bikes has aggressive looks and comes with latest techs and designs. My friends has got both Apache and pulsar they told me durability of the parts is not up to the level, in case of Honda it has better durability and engine side very smooth and refined but other two brands doesn't. If you are looking Honda bike I would suggest CB unicorn, CB Hornet and X blade. If you are looking for a latest design and technology try hornet or X Blade.
Sourabh | 5 years agoIf you want a daily commute bike, choose Unicorn (refined honda engine with average performance and styling and good mileage). If you want to experience biking, go for Apache (mileage is lower than unicorn) but very high on performance aspect.
Mohan | 6 years agoIt depends upon the ultimate purpose of your vehicle. My view when i bought unicorn is the drive comfort for long journeys and the life time of the vehicle. this made me to choose unicorn. as always the downside of unicorn is the maintenance cost and the mileage will reduce if you cant afford the maintenance.. And my suggestion would be Honda and TVS (ABS is preferred from now onward)
Rahul | 2 years agoNo motorcycle is as good as unicorn 150cc. I am driving it for more than a decade. It's actually was my father's motorcycle. And it proved that it's baap in motorcycle segment. Have traveled almost everywhere on it. And have opportunity to ride other motorcycles too. But none feels as good and reassuring as unicorn 150cc. Even today.
Mebin | 6 years agoIf you are looking all sides like maintainance riding comfort fuel economy I suggest rtr but for resale value it disappoints , if you consider resale also suggest unicorn, rtr is reliable and gives you a feel like you are riding some sports bike and it's sounds also
S | 6 years agoIf you are wanting a Racer go for RTR and for bold looks Pulsar and if your travel is long distance daily, suggest go for Unicorn which is a steady performance vehicle with good suspension and puncture-resistant tubes which give you value for money
Yash | 5 years agoRTR 160 is better in most aspects if you are young man then RTR 160 is better bike and if you are older than 50 years or 45 years you should get unicorn because of it's silent nature and more commuter-ish performance
Roshan | 6 years agoMy love is there for the Honda Unicorn 150, however with modern time Apache RTR 160 V4 is my suggestion. It is truly a racing machine and out caste the Pulsar & Unicorn in style, performance and features.

Honda bikes are trendy but they let you visit the garage frequently. they have certain maintenance issues often
Noor | 5 years agoI have a unicorn which is 3 years old ,it require too much maintenance and it's mileage so bad. it's too heavy i will not recommend you to take this bike Apache is better then unicorn.
Vishnu | 5 years agoHonda unicorn for milage and comfort Apache for performance and rough and tough riding
Ranjan | 3 years agoHonda engine is best for refinement. But if you go for all over difference between both the bikes then RTR 160 is the best.
Pradeep | 6 years agoGo for rtr 160. It's a super beast with excellent throttle response. Also with good mileage (I got 50 kmpl). Braking also decent at any speed with good control capability.
Manoj | 4 years agoRTR means racing throttle response obiviously Apache rtr give you quick response
RobinGeorge | 5 years agoIf you want a family bike and for daily commuting, Honda Unicorn is good. But if you want a more sporty look with a better performance engine, go for Apache RTR 160.
WesleyMani | 6 years agoAs per the best of my knowledge all Honda and Bajaj motorcycles have the problem of chainset loosening frequently. Tvs rtr seems to be a better option without it.
JAGANNATH | 4 years agoBoth are good in segment ,but you want driving fun and pleasure then go for Apache RTR 160.
Pushkar | 5 years agoOf course Unicorn. Just ride it once and you will love driving Honda. Its much refined. Cruise it at any speed and see the difference. Mileage is very good.
Star | 5 years agoIf you need sporty go for RTR or common daily commuter bike go for unicorn both are best in segments mileage wise Unicorn best performance wise RTR
