Q. Which one is better Pulsar NS200 or Tvs apache rtr 2004v?
9.8K Views Follow Question Add Answer388 AnswersRahul | 5 years agoI have always been a fan of Pulsar Ns 200, but when it comes to Engine refinement and exhaust sound there is no comaprison to Apache rtr 200 4v. Now coming to Engine power, Ns has quite powerful output in terms of bhp which 23.7 in comparison to Apache mere 20.73 bhp. Also Ns has 0.3 Nm more torque than Apache. When it comes to long crusing over highways, Pulsar beats Apache at its peak with 6 gearbox as compared to Apache's 5 gearbox which helps Pulsar to attain top speed of around 145-150kmph. Both bikes have equal milegae output ie. Somewhere between 38-45kmpl (depends on how you drive)I just bought a New pulsar Ns 2019 Abs, clocked at around 178 kms and i guarantee you that i have never been more happier in my life.Only thing i miss in Pulsar 200Ns is Exhaust but seriously that is no big issue, you can install a much powerful exhaust (Akrapovic) which comes around 4000-6000 INR, and trust its the best exhaust avilable out there, put in some K&N air filters, use Motul Synthetic oil, install Hydraulic lever and you have got the Beast on two wheels. (These are the ideas from my Pulsar 200Ns, i assure you next time you see a Apache 200 rtr 4v on a highway, you are gonna pass it over like its a piece of cake on wheels😅 lol. Goodluck with your machine.
Vishal | 5 years agoLot of people were asking this question. So I do little digging about this V4 engine. Whatever I will be now mentioning is compared to NS200.Apache V4 engine is known for fast riding, Better pick up and maximum torque, There will be also less engine noise.NS200 has Triple Spark Engine, It's India developed technology, It usse the fuel in three cycle not in two comparing to other bikes. This is the reason you will easily get 40-42KM/L on highway and above 35 in city. For me NS wins
MOHAMMEDANWAR | 5 years agoBoth these bikes are best at their point NS 200 is more powerful , top end of the bike is awesome and liquid cooling is available, preferd towards tall riders Apache 200 is newly refined engine with sporty looks compared to ns 200 the looks of ns200 is outdated and is available in market since 6 years, Apache200 handling is better than ns 200 , exhaust note of Apache is amazing compared to ns200 cusioning of seats are better in Apache 200 , sporty DRLS, best for city riding, and about mileage,Apache also defeats ns200 in mileage company claims 44 kmpl for Apache and 35 kmpl for ns200 but rather it depends on riding bike I had achieved around 38-40 kmpl in city on my Apache Apache gets dual channel abs and slipper clutch
Sanil | 4 years agoPulsar NS 200 is has more aggressive sporty look, better, long lasting engine performance with less maintenance NS200 also have best fuel economy in its segement as well.Apache RTR200 V4 have slightly more pickup and power but but when it comes to maintain these engine performance for long. You have to loose your pocket with more mainatainance cost compared with Pulsar 200NS
DebashishDasgupta | 4 years ago@ DebashishDasgupta | Pulsar ns 200 any day any time
Pulsar Ns 200 is best for local ride dude you are talking about a brand which still after 2012 it has that naked presence among the streets it's performance it's 6th gear speed box its ktm racing collaborated engine what the hell are you even saying don't start a conversation without even knowing what are you supposed to say pulsar was pulsar pulsar is pulsar and pulsar will forever be pulsar
Arihant | 5 years agoBoth are best in my point of view.RTR 4v 200 has a potent engine and the bike comes with a abundance of features. The ns 200 lacks those features which are given in the 200rv, however the power of ns 200 is more than 2004v. Ns200 offers 3ps more power than RTR 200 4v. Both bikes have average maintenance cost. If you're looking for raw power then go for ns200.
Hrushikesh | 5 years agoPulsar 200ns value for money I am using it from last 5 years no major issue no loss in performance excellent mileage in it's segment . TVs Apache rtr 2004v no doubt that it is a good bike but lacks power compared ns 200. But this bike does have a better pillion comfort.
Kunal | 5 years agoIt depends upon your usability if you are going to use your bike mostly in city then rtr is good choice or in Highways ns 200 has an edge over rtr coz it has 6th gear which is not present in rtr.Engine refinement is best in class in rtr 200.Braking is good in rtr 200 coz it comes with dual channel ABS with RLP protection.Overall built quality is good in rtr.I'm using rtr 200 4v 2.0 from last 8 months and only problem i faced is the Cold start and lack of 6th gear.My Verdict- Go for the rtr.
Kunal | 5 years agoRtr 200 4v has an edge over NS 200 in city ride while NS 200 has an edge over rtr 200 in highway ride coz it has 6th gear which is not present in rtr 200..But engine refinement is best in rtr 200.I was also confused when i was researching i rode ns 200, gixxer sf, hero extreme 200, CB hornet, rtr 200 and rtr 160 4V but found rtr 200 4V is best in class.Go for it it is best bike in its segment Nd go for the ABS version it will cost you little but it will worth of every penny you spend.
Rajiv | 6 years agoIt depends on ur usage n type of rides you do if you are more in to proper riding ,cornering n want suspension accordingly then the apache 200. If your rides are more of highway n you want more of mid range n top end range then the pulsar 200 ns. The apache is good in city n traffic as it has a good low range/rpm usability, whereas the pulsar's actual power kicks in after 5k rpm. Hope my answer assisted you😇 if incase more queries pls feel free to ask. Tc
Vishnu | 4 years agoBoth motorcycles are best in their current users perspective. But if I were to choose for. 200cc bike i would definitely go for Ns200 over rtr2004v because NS proves to be better than 4v in terms of performance, vibrations, ABS etc.
Shubham | 5 years agoRTR is best for pickup and speed between 50-100 well suited for traffic because of slippery clutch and well suited stance and suspension, On the other had NS is only good for its Top Speed or well say it doesn't have a limiter like apache. Apache's top speed is like 120 whereas NS can go 150+, So if we talking speed between 1-100 then apache wins, If we talking about 110+ then NS wins. Apache for city and NS for highway.
Bharat | 5 years agoFor daily commute and city ride RTR is very good... refined engine, low maintenance, equipped with slipper clutch so easy to ride in traffic and good mileage, no overheating, suspension is on the softer side so you won't get tired and obviously it is far better than NS..... and this machine is very reliable and company is giving a 5years warranty so forget about any big expenditure.....
Krishna | 4 years agoIf you don't wanna worry about fuel and wanna commute on daily basis go with 160.200 lac in mileage tho deliver good power.I would also suggest you to test drive apache their engine are very much good compared to Ns.
Mrinal | 4 years agoWait for sometime, Ns200 Bs6 is due for launch, as of now rtr is a better bike to ride. Ns 200 having power advantage, but rts handles good. My choice is rtr. And one more reason ns200 looks dated now.
Wish | 4 years agoIt depends on for how long time you are going to use it.For short time use you can go with apache as its parts make noise after some time. If there is Long time use and daily commute then go with ns
Matt | 4 years agoPulsar Ns 200 is better cause of parts replacement, service, and fun to ride philosophy. More over both of them have proven to be good.. But ns 200 is preferable cause of its easy maintenance free engine.
Nitin | 4 years agoPersonally, after riding both the bikes I felt more comfortable on Apache and that changed whole ride that day. At first I was more bias towards NS but after the ride I have respect for both the bikes.
Wanderlust | 5 years agoIf you are looking for the best performer from these two, ns 200 is preferable. But in case of safety and features rtr 200 is preferable. Though both abs versions priced approximately on the same range, ns 200 is providing only single channel abs which is on the rear wheel, whereas rtr 200 provides dual channel abs which can ensure maximum security.
Kazi_mostafizur_rahman | 5 years agoDepends on the type of riding you want to do. Both are naked street bikes. The Apache comes with better safety features like dual channel ABS and also slipper clutch but at lower top speeds. Engine power is little low than NS200 but comes with a good short pick up.The NS 200 comes with a wet clutch and single channel ABS
Kunal | 5 years agoI watched so many videos when i was researching on YouTube regarding mileage test nd found that 35kmpl and 40kmpl.But in reality i am getting 30-33kmpl.Mileage of the bike depends on various factors like your riding style, braking.Speeding and applying Clutch. These guys are claiming 39kmpl but according to me 30-35kmpl.
Kunal | 5 years agoIn terms of engine performance both bikes comes with carburettor version while you get an fi version for the rtr 200. both bikes engine performance is good but rtr 200 has smooth and linear performance. Maintenance wise i will give my vote to tvs coz tvs bikes maintainence cost is low as compared to bajaj bikes.

Hlo I have pulsar 220 f of 2016 model .at present when I drive,120 above bike get stops n also the acceleration get down .how slove it n how to increase the speed of my bike..
Wanderlust | 5 years agoIts purely depends on how you want to ride. If you prefer the best performance bike in 200 cc segment(except duke 200), ns 200 is better. RTR 200 is not preferable for an aggressive ride. If you prefer a bike with good mileage, and above average performance, look and safety RTR 200 is the perfect choice.
Prashant | 5 years agoI will agree with bharat apache 200 is better city bike with its low and mid range torque. Ns 200 is high revving machine and with power focussed on top end and also comes with single channel abs, whereas apache comes with duel channel abs. So i think that just seals the deal in favour of apache. Cheers
RahulMahato | 5 years agoIf you are addicted to power and speed, go for ns200. Apache in this segment lags the speed but you surely can feel the power. Ns200 is bulkier and heavier side.
Abdullah | 4 years ago@ Saurabh | But Bajaj has the history of engine problem after some year's have they improved it or it's just a myth that people say
Bajaj has no engine issues but I would say buying ns 200 is worth it if you want the thrill in driving I would prefer ns 200because I have used it for the last 1 year
Rohan | 4 years agoDepend on your use if you like power and punch then go for NS it will feel bit big than RTR 200 if you want it for daily commute only city then go for RTR
Swathi | 4 years agoNs200 has better performance ,but the rtr2004v is well equipped and it's good though . Anyway if you need a toy to pop a wheelie and stuff like that I prefer NS200
Motovlog | 5 years agoI personally own an ns 200 2018. So I might be biased towards the ns, do ride out both bikes to understand their nature. Still I would recommend you the Apache if u want led headlight, reliable engine, and better build quality. Ns is fast but Apache is comfort
Sandy | 6 years agoTVS Apachce RTR 200 4V is Best because A-RT Slipper Clutch Technology, Best Engine Refinement, Good Look, Best Exhaust Sound Given only in Apache RTR 200 4V. Apache RTR 200 4V is Best for City ride and Highway Ride and Pulsar NS 200 made only for highway ride.
Kunal | 5 years agoI have already said so many times that RTR 200 blows NS 200 in everything except top speed. Top speed of NS 200 is more as compared to RTR coz NS has a 6th gear which helps it in long rides....take a test run of both the bikes nd then decide.
Akash | 6 years agoIf you want to buy only for speed then buy ns 200... But if you want value for money or worth it buy apache 200 r4v racing edition... Maine dono chalayi hai... Isiliye apache 200 सबसे best hai... उस price and cc के range main
Sanjay | 4 years agoNS 200 is always the best motorcycle in terms of speed, performance and maintenance. But TVS is best for their features offering for their vehicles.
Sushant | 6 years agoRace edition Apache does not has anything different from regular one except for the looks. If you are the person who likes the fresh look above all other parameters, then Apache. If you seek better performance between the two then NS
AritraMohanto | 5 years agoIn terms of looks and in-city drive, RTR 200 4V is better as it has a lighter clutch feel and lesser turning radius. But in terms of power and fun its only NS200. Nice smooth engine and 6speed box. plus u get the liquid cooling
Palash | 4 years agoCity condition .. plz go for rtr. Highway. Plz go for ns. Having gf and mom....plz go for rtr. Mileage- Go for rtr
Ankit | 5 years agoAs he is a college student give him hero splendor pro which gives economy of 90kmpl.Or you can go for bajaj platina and tvs sport too. These are too economical budget friendly. These are the best options for students
Swagoto | 5 years agoIt is depended on yor neccesities if u want a aggressive one for for ns200 and if you want for a long lasting one go for 200 4v

But my friend who has Pulsar he said the engine starts to give you problem after 2 to 3 years So what is your opinion on this
Gaming | 5 years agoGo for Ns 200 you may face little bit problems at starting and between 2,3 months you will drive it like you stole it once you master handling it gonna be fun, my friend is also 5.5 still drive it really Amazing.
Ashim | 4 years agoPulsar NS200 is best for your and local ride.If you are good rider then you know, how to maintain and taking care of bike.
Saurabh | 5 years ago@ Hrushikesh | Pulsar 200ns value for money I am using it from last 5 years no major issue no loss in performance excellent mileage in it's segment . Ashok | 5 years agoNS200 service cost is high because it was an KTM combinationRTR200 services and spare cost is low it's an indian brand
Darshan Raj | 5 years agoWhen it comes to performance the ns 200 because it has much of top end power but the mid-range is wher the rtr shines ns will loss when it comes to o to 60 to 0 to 100 after 100 is wher ns takes the lead
Chetan | 5 years agoGo ahead with rtr 200 race edition. Cause it's reliable the maintenance and milage depends upon riding postureI got 38 in city and 40 above on highway.Ride with in 5000 rpm to get full mileage of bike.
Chuck | 5 years agoI only know of Apache by reading because here in Philippines it isn't readly available like Kawasaki and Yamaha. So by compare I think the NS 200 is better all around. style, performance and features.
James | 5 years agoBoth are good if you need milage then apache will good and if you want the power and speed then go for NS
Pavan | 4 years agoBoth have pros and cons all depends on for what you need the bike most. Both are good vehicles at their ends
Karthik | 5 years agoNs 200 for performance and apache for features such as dual channel abs and fully digital console
Selva | 5 years agoNS200 is best on performance compared to apache and it has large fan base all over the world...
Kunal | 5 years agoI have rode both rtr 200 and ns 200..and i like rtr the most. If you are confused between this two i will suggest you to take a test ride of both the bikes this will clear your doubt.
Sharanya | 3 years agoPulsar show room in bike servicing wrost . Very poor .My bike was 1st service in change sound
Chirag | 5 years agoBoth bikes are suitable for ur height. Apache has more features than NS. NS 200 has single channel abs. Apache 4v has dual and also has fi option. With pirelli rosso tyre as stock.
Rakesh | 4 years agoYou go for anyone because both the bikes are good in performance. it depends on your choice and looks
DebashishDasgupta | 4 years agoPulsar will always be a dream bike for any bike enthusiastic end of story chal ab bakeyti mat maar
Ajay | 5 years agoEven after constant high revvs at 110-120 on the highway, i got an average of 36kmpl which is quite impressive for a 200cc bike. But the lack of 6th gear will always be felt.
Gaming | 5 years agoGo for NS200 you will never regret it, It has good amount of power, and also a super naked look you will face heating Issues at start but it will be okay after 1 Service
Ankit | 5 years ago@ Saurabh | But Bajaj has the history of engine problem after some year's have they improved it or it's just a myth that people say
It's just a myth, i am using bajaj automobile from so long and i didn't felt so
Pradeep | 4 years agoWhich has good pillion comfort in between Apache 2004V BS6 or Pulsar NS 200 BS6
Nivu | 4 years agoBoth r good in there way you got to decide you want radiator or slipper clutch

Chandra | 4 years agoBajaj pulsar NS 200 is very better than TVS apache rtr 2004v
Nishith | 4 years agoNs 200 is best WRT power .WRT mileage Rtr best
SuperCharged | 2 years agoIn terms of outright performance then NS200 but overall the apache 200 is a better bike in terms of robustness and ride quality.
Vishu | 5 years agoThat depends on how long are you driving. For short terms , Apache is the best, but for longer ride I will recommend only ns200
Abhishek | 5 years agoFor look and dual abs options i suggest tvs apache 200 4v abs ....and tvs engine long lasting compare to Bajaj ( my experience)
Mehul | 5 years agoNs,,,,especially if you're in to high speed riding,,,it's perimeter frame makes it a breeze to do distances @ high speed ....
Chirag | 5 years agoApache 200 has more option (fi, abs, pirelli rosso) NS has no option. Only difference is NS has more torque n better mileage.
David | 4 years agoDon't go for NS200go for Dominar250
Ajay | 5 years agoIf you're a frequent highway hitter, go for NS. But for daily commutes and occasional road trips, Apache is seemlessly good
Rupam | 5 years agoIf you want more power then ns 200

Sonu | 4 years agoI don't think rtr is better than ns

Amit | 4 years ago@ Rahul | I have always been a fan of Pulsar Ns 200, but when it comes to Engine refinement and exhaust sound there is no comaprison to Apache rtr 200 4v.
