Features: Kia has given it a raft of features, such as a panoramic sunroof, an 8-inch heads-up display, an 8-speaker Bose sound system, rain sensing wipers, 8-way electronically adjustable driver’s seat, front seat ventilation, a wireless phone charger, ambient lighting, dual-zone AC, connected car tech with Amazon Alexa, an air purifier, paddle shifters, driving and traction modes, auto headlights, voice-controlled window function, a 10.25-inch driver display, and a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system. Safety features include a level 2 ADAS, a 360-degree camera, hill hold assist, 6 airbags (standard), an electronic stability programme (ESP), an electronic parking brake with auto-hold, tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS), and a blind view monitor.

Engine: Powering the Seltos is a 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine producing 115 PS and 144 Nm, a 1.5-litre 4-cylinder diesel motor that makes 116 PS and 250 Nm, and a 1.5-litre 4-cylinder turbocharged petrol unit that generates 160 PS and 253 Nm. Transmission options include a 6-speed manual, a CVT automatic, a 6-speed iMT, a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic, and a 6-speed torque converter automatic. With the latest update given to the SUV in January 2025, the 1.5-litre diesel does not offer the 6-speed iMT transmission.

Rivals: The Kia Seltos continues to take on the Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara, Hyundai Creta, Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder, Volkswagen Taigun, Honda Elevate, MG Astor, Skoda Kushaq, Tata Curvv, and Citroen Basalt.

Variants: The Kia Seltos is available in three broad trims: Tech Line, GT Line. and X-Line. These trims further branch out to HTE, HTK, HTK+, HTX, HTX+, Gravity Edition, GTX, GTX+ (S), GTX+, X-Line (S), and X-Line variants It is offered in eight montone shades: Pewter Olive , Clear White, Sparkling Silver, Gravity Grey, Aurora Black Pearl, Glacier White Pearl, Intense Red, and Imperial Blue. It can also be had in an Xclusive Matte Graphite which is limited to the X-Line trim. There are two dual tone shades: Intense Red and Glacier White with Aurora Black Pearl hue for the roof.

Kia has updated the variant lineup of the Seltos alongside the Sonet and Carens. The Hyundai Creta rival ditches a few variants, including the base-spec and Gravity edition. Whereas, it now benefits from a slew of new variants across the petrol and diesel powertrains. The new prices, as a result, start at Rs 11.13 lakh and go up to Rs 20.51 lakh (ex-showroom). It is powered by a 115 PS 1.5-litre NA petrol engine, a 160 PS 1.5-litre turbo-petrol motor, and a 116 PS 1.5-litre diesel unit, which no longer offers iMT. But that is still available with the turbo engine.

Kia Seltos is on the list of everyone who is looking to buy a compact SUV in India. After its facelift which happened in mid-2023, it has become even better by offering an excellent balance of looks, road presence, modern day features, comfort for the family and performance that will excite even the more experienced drivers.
