  • Q. Dear, I purchased a vw vento 1.2 tsi dsg highline plus car in Dec.-2017. I want to know that at traffic red light signals in which gear mode should I keep my automatic gear box so as not to harm the dsg box and braking system?

    You can put in park mode so that car don't move.and don't harm the gear box. Two things first don't put in park mode before the car stops .you will end up damaging gearbox.second 2 wheelers may come or in some case way to an ambulance you need to manuver the car be ready to put in drive mode.thanks .

    The DSG box is a smart unit and doesn't get affected by the shift to Neutral. On the long halt, you can put it in the Neutral while during the short stops Drive plus brake is ok.

    Neutral. don't press brake with car in drive mode
