The Polo TSI AT is offered in the range-topping GT TSI trim and costs Rs 1.78 lakh more than the similarly specced Highline Plus variant. The Polo GT variant is powered by a 110PS/175Nm 1.0-litre TSI petrol engine mated to a 6-speed torque converter automatic. Whereas, the other variants get 1.0-litre MPI petrol engine that makes 75PS/95Nm and comes mated to a 5-speed MT.

Right.. but performance wise, even your highline plus now comes with a TSI engine and an option of an automatic gearbox just like the GT. You even get front center armrest and rear ac vents in highline plus which are lacking in GT.. the only missing things in highline are cosmetic.. like spoiler, black ORVMs, black finishing on dashboard,GT Branded scuff plate and GT badging on front grill and rear fenders(these are stickers really).. and you can get these added as accessories for much less than the ex showroom price difference… Inspite of these lacking functional features GT is still a whopping 80K expensive than highline plus AT… I guess it just boils down to brand name

GT or ‘Grand Tourism’ refers to cars that are very high on performance of course, but were historically meant for long distance travels.Polo GT has an award winning TSI engine along with state of the art DSG (Dual Clutch) automatic gear box and both these you won’t find in other variants of Polo.
