I've had Ameo Highline Plus diesel DSG for 3 years, driven 70000 kms, the parts I replaced till date other than regular service parts are mc pherson strut suspension connecting rods and tyres... Ameo is a beast in a small body... Only problem with any VW or German car is when you plan to buy your next car you'll feel others as no match to German cars... Only thing I put custom and felt like was to change the tyre brand to continental rather than oem tyres...

If you get Diesel DSG... Its a beast like no other... I have driven Ameo diesel Highline Plus DSG for 3 years and 70000 kms... I have put continental tyres after 60000 kms and just changed the front suspension connecting rods till date... Only problem is my next car can't be a VW... You will love VW if you love to drive... If you love economy and getting stuck on mud, buy a Korean car...
