Q. Kia Seltos0 GTX Plus DCT (Petrol Automatic). Is the DCT gearbox good for city driving? Is it smooth? How does it compare with GTX Plus IVT Diesel automatic?

Diesel has torque converter unit and not IVT and yes you can use DCT in city also just keep shifting to neutral when in traffic and don't use creeping function as other automatics as it can get really hot inside gearbox making it to give warning to stop and this is not only for seltos dct but other cars too having dct gearbox . Talking about smoothest automatic gearbox it is IVT you wont feel any gearshifts but yes you will feel gearshifts in DCT just have a test drive

I have only driven Petrol GTX+, it is very smooth and have a very good response in city conditions. It gives the thrill for driving, I have done 300 kms a day in difficult roads it doesn’t hurt you at all. In heavy traffic and tight city roads the manoeuvring is very easy even with fingers you can control the steering. Mirrors are helpful, 360 degrees camera is awesome and inly discomfort we feel is from the under thigh support, mainly for short people.
