Some people has advised here that the maintenance cost for Vento and parts cost are much higher than others but the real VW oweners shares some different experience. As I will purchase my first car, please advise Vento will be good for me or not?

I have shared my personal experience brother. The engine & monocoque body are not the problem, it is the weak (soft suspension, plastic parts like radiator carriage tray & AC vents that are flimsy. My radiator tray got broken 3 times just by normal use on pot-riddled Indian roads. I had to replace front shock absorbers after just 7 yrs, 57000 km. The car also has low road clearance, so I fitted taller tyres (corolla tyres). The radiator tray with labour costs Rs 10000/- plus each time. Check options from ford or Hyundai, they should be more cost effective. Yes, I'm thankful that the car saved us in an accident just after 5 months in a head on collision with a two wheeler, but the air bags did not deploy. Manufacturer stated that passenger seat belt not being on as the reason. Check my earlier updates also. Take your own decision. Wish you safe travels.

In 9 years I have paid close to Rs.130,000 for service. Tomorrow will pay another Rs. 32000 for my 10th service. Rs 160,000 in 10 years time translates to roughly Rs 1500 per month for service which is reasonable. You service only once every year and that is a big advantage and if you don't have to replace any spare parts in the service other than regular oil and filters you can be assured of 12-15k in bill.

Well the VW is a german brand so high servicing and maintanence cost goes without saying. No if u compare with brands like maruti,hyundai,toyota, -then the price of maintanence Of volkswagen Would be Higher. But if u compare with honda, ford, and skoda then the maintanence cost is approx same.. Same goes for the parts as well.. I also have a vw 2k18 edition -my second vento.. I am very happy with the performance and comfort of the vehicle - youll feel the difference between this beauty and the others right from the enterance-rock sturdy design built for providing comfort and safety...

Maintenance and Parts are costlier when you compared with maruti, tata etc. I have been owning Vento 2013 model and drove 125000 km. Apart from regular servicing i spent 70 -80K or max 1 lakh. But if you are going to buy a new vento car now compare the build quality with old cars because i heard that quality is not as good as old ones.

Dear sumit unlike Japanese gaints service intervals is wide.refer to above answers for common issues.if you taste ventos or Rapids or their siblings like Jetta and Octavia you will not go for other brands. take a test drive of shortlisted cars thanks

Same thing I mentioned above radiator is too close to number and side panels .potholed can damage the connection leading to change of entire side panel with bumpers. but it's for maintaining Crump zone working.

The vento is a great option. Till date I have not had any expensive services. However I would recommend you to ask a person who's had at least 4 years of ownership experience
