Q. Is it better than Baleno?
  • Both the cars are good in their forte. There’s a lot to like about the Fronx, and little to fault. It brings with it a likeable balance between a premium hatchback, a sub-compact SUV and a compact SUV. The Fronx is ticking the basics of style, space, comfort and everyday usability. A few more features or a smaller asking price would’ve made it a whole lot easier for us to recommend it. On the other hand, the new Baleno is still a safe and sensible choice. Now with the design changes, feature additions, and improved drive, it has become more desirable too. Some things could have been better though. Maruti Suzuki should have improved the seating comfort, given it a more powerful petrol engine option, and made more significant changes to the exterior to help it look like a brand-new car. Solid Build and Smooth Ride

I am using the Fronx MT Delta Plus Opt variant. Firstly, the post-sales service from Nexa is good and comfortable. The build quality of the car is better compared to the Dzire, which I previously drove. The bonnet and trunk are heavier compared to other cars in the same segment. The higher ground clearance enables a smooth ride on broken roads, though the car's height is not comparable to mid-size SUVs. The suspension is excellent, and the car is very smooth to drive, with clear visibility of the bonnet edges. It comes with modern features and looks amazing. The pickup is good, with a satisfying throttling sound. The average mileage is around 14 km/l in the city and 18 km/l on highways. Negatives include the lack of rear AC and the driver’s seating posture, which is not very comfortable for me. Overall, it’s a good car, especially for a middle-class family.
