Bajaj has launched a single seat variant for the Pulsar N160 for Rs 1,21,722 (ex-showroom, Pune). This variant is more affordable than the standard variant and gets some hardware changes. Lets find out what this updated Pulsar N160 has to offer.
This variant of the Pulsar N160 gets a more practical single piece seat instead of the split seat setup. The new variant also gets a more convenient single piece grab rail. Where the standard variant of the pulsar N160 gets USD fork, this single seat variant gets a conventional 37mm telescopic fork and an adjustable monoshock. This also gets a single-channel ABS rather than the dual-channel ABS setup.
The rest of the bike remains unchanged. . It gets the same 164.2cc single cylinder, air-cooled engine which produces 16PS and 14.65Nm. The braking setup remains the same as well, 300mm front and 230mm rear disc brake setup. The Pulsar N160 gets a 17-inch wheel setup with a 100 section front and a 130 section rear tyre. The seat height remains the same too at 795mm.
In terms of features the Pulsar N160 single seat variant gets an all LED-headlight setup along with normal halogen indicators. The single seat variant also misses out on ABS modes and the turn-by-turn navigation. However, it still gets bluetooth connectivity to show SMS/call alerts.
The new single seat variant of the Bajaj Pulsar N160 is priced at Rs 1,21,722(ex-showroom, Pune). Which makes it almost Rs 12,000 cheaper than the standard variant of the Pulsar N160.

The new single seat variant for the Bajaj Pulsar N160 is for someone who is looking for a more affordable motorcycle in the 160cc category. The Pulsar N160 loses out on some crucial features like a dual-channel ABS, USD fork and turn-by-turn navigation. But it costs significantly less than the standard variant of the Pulsar N160. Undercutting it by almost Rs 12,000. The single seat variant gets the same engine which means the performance is going to remain unchanged.
That said, with the introduction of the new variant, it even undercuts the price of the Pulsar N150’s base variant. This could be an indicator that the latter could be discontinued soon, tightening up the Pulsar lineup.
