An Aprilia RS 457 advertisement recently caught our attention. It seems that someone got lazy while doing their job.

No, that isn't a new maxi-scooter or a mini bike based on the Aprilia RS 457. This is a hilarious mistake that we spotted in an advertisement that popped up on Google. In the image, we see a picture of John Abraham posing on an Aprilia RS 457 with bizarre proportions. Someone has used the generative fill function in Photoshop to create the final image for this advertisement. Or maybe, this could be Google AI filling in the picture to match the required aspect ratio. If this was done by someone working for the brand, we wonder how it was approved and went live.

As you can see, the Generative Fill function makes the bike appear like it is using 12 or 14-inch wheels from a scooter. Additionally, there is also some distortion on the front tyre and the wheels appear to be in motion even though the bike is stationary. Unfortunately with this mess, John Abrahams's right foot has also disappeared.

For reference, this is the original image. It seems that AI has made people lazy to the point where they aren’t even checking what AI has generated for them. Maybe AI hasn’t yet figured out motorcycles so it would be advisable to tread carefully when trying to make your work day easier.

We have seen some extremely realistic AI-generated images, but AI is still a work in progress and has not yet figured out quite a few things. For example, we have observed that AI was just not able to properly generate human hands, which was one of the giveaways in an otherwise realistic image. Just like this example, AI has not yet perfected its understanding of motorcycles, especially their proportions, which is why it seems to find it difficult to generate a perfect image.

Here is another image of John astride the RS 457 that is taken from a slightly different angle and it appears that this would have been a better fit for the advertisement; all that was needed was to crop it to the required dimensions.

We all are human and capable of making errors, no doubt. But this time around, the use of AI seems to have caused more of a problem than helping out. Not a serious problem at all, but one that made us have a good laugh.
