BMW Motorrad launched the CE 02 last year in the European market and has teased to bring it to India! Amidst the rise in popularity of electric two-wheelers, here are the 5 things you need to know about the BMW CE 02:
1. Launch in India: BMW Motorrad is set to introduce its premium electric bike, the CE 02, in India this month. The company has already started teasing the launch with pictures on its social media platforms.
2. Manufacturing and Development: The BMW CE 02 is produced by TVS at its Hosur facility. The EV platform was co-developed with BMW, and TVS will not only manufacture the CE 02 but also incorporate some of its technology into its own products.
3. Battery and Range Options: The CE 02 comes with a 2kWh battery and offers two configurations: a dual battery setup with a range of up to 90km and a top speed of 95 kmph, or a single battery setup providing a range of 45km and a top speed of 45 kmph.

4. Features and Styling: The CE 02 has 3 riding modes, a 3.2-inch TFT display, USB-C charging port, standard ABS and ASC, and optional DTC. While its styling is similar to the CE 04, the CE 02 doesn’t look as proportionate and premium.
5. Pricing: Expected to be priced around Rs 5 lakh (ex-showroom), the CE 02 will be one of the more expensive scooters in India. For context, the CE 04 is available in the country at Rs 14.90 lakh (ex-showroom) and is a completely built-up (CBU) unit.
