Ather Energy Records Highest Ever Monthly Sales In April 2022

Ather Energy has revealed that it has sold 3,779 units of the Ather 450X and 450 Plus in April 2022, which is its highest ever monthly sales achieved. Furthermore, the year-on-year growth has jumped up by over 255 percent. Ather Energy has also registered a respectable 45.8 percent month-on-month growth, especially when you factor in the shortage of semiconductor chipsets. 

The Bengaluru-based company isn’t just focusing on delivering vehicles to its customers, but also improving the product. Last month, Ather released an OTA update which has the new SmartEco riding mode to improve range.

Ather even announced its alliance with Statiq, a charging station chain, to share charging locations in North India, especially the Nation Capital Region (NCR). And continuing with its aggressive expansion strategy, the brand has commenced operations in Aurangabad, Tirur and Malappuram, and now has operations in 34 cities.

Though the brand is certainly picking up pace, and is already amongst the top players in the EV segment, Ola Electric has been posing a big threat to the company. While Ather has been consistently raking sales between 2500 to 3000, it definitely needs to scale up its production to take on the Ola S1 Pro.
