BYD India has completed 11 years of its operations in the country and to mark this occasion, the carmaker has extended the introductory pricing of the new Atto 3’s base Dynamic variant. The updated Atto 3 was launched last month at Rs 24.99 lakh (ex-showroom), and has garnered over 600 bookings within a month. These figures also include the special Cosmos Black Edition which was introduced along with the new variants: Dynamic and Premium.
The Chinese carmaker first entered the Indian automarket in 2007, and launched their first electric bus in Chennai in 2013. The first car launched by the carmaker in India was the BYD E6, which was followed by the Atto 3, and this year BYD launched its third car in the Indian market, the BYD seal.
The Atto 3 is BYD’s electric SUV offering and it is available in three different variants Dynamic, Premium and Superior, with prices starting from Rs 24.99 lakh and going up to Rs 33.99 lakh (ex-showroom). It comes with a modern design language for the exterior as well as the interior and is loaded to the brim with features.
The top features include, 12.8-inch rotating touchscreen infotainment system, a panoramic sunroof, 6-way powered driver seat, electric ORVMs with heating, wireless phone charger, multi-colour ambient lighting, powered tailgate, and ventilated front seats. In terms of safety, it gets a suite of ADAS features, a 360-degree camera, electronic stability program, 7 airbags, ABS with EBD, tyre pressure monitoring system, ISOFIX mounts, and hill descent control.

It is available with two battery pack options: 49.92 kWh and 60.48 kWh, both of which are paired with a single electric motor, which churn out 204 PS and 310 Nm. The Atto 3 rivals the MG ZS EV and will also take on upcoming electric SUVs like the Hyundai Creta EV and Maruti Suzuki eVX. It is also a pricier alternative to the newly launched Tata Curvv EV.
