Just when we thought spy shots were drying up as we near the year’s end, we spotted a Tork electric scooter being tested out here in Pune! And alongside that was a Tork Kratos, both wearing the same camouflage.
Why a scooter, you may ask? You see, brands like Ola, Ather and TVS are gaining popularity with their electric scooters, especially their affordable, family-friendly scooters. So Tork could be aiming to get a share of that very pie.
Talking about the scooter, it has a spacious, wide seat, behind which it could get a large pillion grab rail. We can see twin shock absorbers and it seems to have a hub motor, both of which will help in cost saving. We expect it to be more of an affordable, practical scooter for the family to go up against the likes of the TVS iQube, Ather 450S and the Ola S1X. Its launch could take place towards the end of 2024. Considering it has been spotted for the first time and the fact that FAME 2 will cease to exist by the time it comes, Tork will be aiming to really nail the pricing game.
As for the bike, it can be a more affordable version of the Kratos, even more affordable than the Urban trim as hinted by Kapil. One thing that we can see on it is the belt drive. This one though, could be launched by early 2024. It’ll then go up against what is India’s most popular electric bike, the Revolt RV400.
