Audi India has confirmed that the Q8 e-tron luxury electric SUV is slated for a launch on August 18. It’s nothing but the facelifted e-tron with the Q8 prefix, design changes and most importantly, better range thanks to a larger battery pack. So without further ado, let’s get cracking into the finer details of Audi’s flagship electric SUV.
Changes in the Audi Q8 e-tron are instantly noticeable, thanks to the new grille with massive airdams flanking it on either end. It now features Audi’s new two-dimensional logo and above it is an LED light strip connecting both the LED Matrix headlamps that throw up an epic light show while starting up.
Save for the new alloys, the side profile is unchanged and even the rear-end is largely similar to the outgoing car. Like before, the Q8 e-tron will come in two body styles: SUV and Sportback (SUV-coupe).
The insides of the Q8 e-tron seem very familiar as the design and layout is identical to the outgoing model. It looks modern, courtesy of three screens: a digital driver’s display, touchscreen infotainment system and separate panel for climate control. It looks modern and posh, no doubt; however, lack of physical controls means you need to get used to operating these screens on the move.

The Q8 e-tron will come with two powertrain options: 50 and 55. And the biggest changes are here as both these variants will get larger battery packs, and as a result, better claimed range. Check out the specifications of these two variants here:

We suspect the Audi Q8 e-tron will command a premium over the outgoing model that was priced from Rs 1.02 crore (ex-showroom). It will renew its rivalry with the BMW iX and Mercedes-Benz EQC.
