Hero Splendor Electric Coming Soon!

Stop the press! The best selling bike in India is going electric! You read that right; Hero Splendor electric is reportedly in the works. 

Hero has been on the edge when it comes to having a large portfolio of electric two-wheelers and only has the Vida V2 electric scooter on sale currently. This is about to change and the manufacturer plans to accelerate its entry into the evergrowing electric two-wheeler space with the launch of over 4-6 electric bikes and scooters ranging from entry-level scooters, children’s dirtbikes to high-end performance oriented electric motorcycles. 

Hero Splendor Electric

The petrol-powered Hero Splendor has been the highest selling motorcycle in India for quite some time now thanks to the reliability it offers and the no-nonsense riding experience. This is exactly what Hero wants to recreate with the electric version of the Hero Splendor. The project “AEDA”, is what reports say to be the upcoming electric Splendor, has been in works for the past two years and is scheduled for a launch in the year 2027. The manufacturer aims to sell over two lakh units per year of the Hero Splendor. 

A Bigger Electric Portfolio

Apart from the Hero Splendor Electric, the company aims to launch many other electric two-wheelers such as the Vida Lynx, an electric dirtbike for children, new entry-level electric scooter and performance oriented electric motorcycles which will mimic the performance of 150cc to 250cc ICE motorcycles. The performance electric motorcycles have been codenamed ADZA and will target young buyers. 

An Electrifying Future

The largest two-wheeler manufacturer aims to claim this spot in the electric two-wheeler industry as well by the year 2030.
