Alongside the revised front, the latest spy shots also provide other EV-specific design cues on the upcoming all-electric SUV

Hyundai Creta EV Spy Shot

  • Upcoming Hyundai Creta EV spied in South Korea.

  • Spy pictures reveal the exterior of the all-electric SUV with its aero-specific alloy wheel design.

  • Interior likely to get dual 10.25-inch displays for infotainment and digital driver’s display.

  • Expected to boast a claimed range of more than 400 km.

  • Likely to launch sometime in 2025 with a starting price of Rs 20 lakh (ex-showroom).

We're already aware that Hyundai is developing an all-electric version of its popular compact SUV, the Creta, as its test mule was previously spotted on our roads. Now, new spy pictures have emerged, showing the all-electric SUV in South Korea giving a clear look at the design changes made to its exterior.

While much of the Creta EV's exterior design remains camouflaged, we could spot the closed grille to differentiate it from its ICE-powered counterpart. Additionally, it boasts five-spoke alloy wheels designed for aerodynamic efficiency. Bits such as the  LED DRLs and LED headlights have been retained from the ICE car.

The interior of the Creta EV has not been spotted yet, but the earlier test mule sighting in India provided us with a partial view of the cabin. It showcased the upcoming EV’s dashboard layout with dual 10.25-inch displays for the infotainment system and digital driver’s display, similar to what we've seen with the Creta facelift.

In terms of features, apart from the screens, dual-zone climate control, ventilated front seats, ambient lighting, wireless phone charging, and panoramic sunroof are expected to be retained from the ICE-powered Creta. Safety features will likely include six airbags, electronic stability control, a tyre pressure monitoring system, ISOFIX mounts for child seats, and the inclusion of advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS).

We do not have details on the powertrain specifications of the Creta EV, but we expect it will boast a claimed range of more than 400 km.

The Creta EV is expected to launch in our market around 2025, with a starting price of Rs 20 lakh (ex-showroom). It will rival the likes of the MG ZS EV and upcoming Tata Curvv EV, while being a larger alternative to the Tata Nexon EV and Mahindra XUV400.
