The Cyberster is MG’s upcoming and fourth electric vehicle in India and it will be launched in January 2025, probably at the 2025 Bharat Mobility Global Expo. It will not just be the fastest MG vehicle in India, but is also the world’s fastest MG Roadster! The upcoming electric sports car has been teased yet again, this time revealing its power figures. The Cyberster will be sold through the new MG Select, which will be MG’s chain of premium showrooms and the sports car will likely be the first car to be sold there.
The Cyberster will retail in India as a completely built unit (CBU). For enthusiasts and fans of electric vehicles, here is a look at the Cybersters’ details:
It has been confirmed that the India-spec MG Cyberster convertible will be powered by dual motors that will churn out up to 510 PS and 725 Nm. This specific option is capable of going from naught to 100 kmph in about 3.2 seconds. Globally, the sportscar is also available with a single motor, which makes 340 PS and 475 Nm, but it has not been confirmed if this version will arrive in India or not.
The convertible electric sports car packs a 77 kWh battery pack with a WLTP range of up to 444 km on the combined cycle.
The Cyberster comes with 50:50 front and rear weight distribution for optimum ride and handling. Its chassis has been tuned by former F1 engineer, Marco Fainello! And with that we expect it to provide a thrilling driving experience!
The Cyberster’s exterior takes design cues from the iconic MG vehicles of the past, while offering modern styling bits making it look sporty and appealing. It has a proper sports car look featuring a low slung stance and a bold design language. It gets a unique rear design with its arrow-styled tail lights standing out.

The interior has a premium feel to it with plenty of soft touch materials on the dashboard and as many as three screens comprising a digital driver’s display, touchscreen infotainment system, and vehicle stats. It comes with plenty of physical buttons as well, giving you control of the various functions and features. Streaks of ambient lighting further enhance the interior look!
The MG Cyberster is expected to carry a price tag of around Rs 75 lakh to Rs 80 lakh (ex-showroom). In the electric space, it won’t have any direct rivals in India. However, it is expected to face competition from the BMW Z4.
