Two hours! It took just two hours of the booking site going active for the 77 units of the Ultraviolette F77’s Limited trim to be accounted for. And considering the asking price of a whopping Rs 5.50 lakh (ex-showroom without any subsidies), these 77 units are sure to be part of some big garages.
Ultraviolette blew everyone’s minds when it announced the pricing of its F77 a few days back. Yep, even the standard trim, with its lower state of battery and motor tune, is capable of being the fastest electric bike made in India. But the price to pay for such electrifying performance, i.e. Rs 3.80 lakh, makes it only for those serious early adopters.
The Recon trim, which too costs a dear Rs 4.55 lakh, is the one that will compete with conventional 300cc motorcycles like the TVS Apache RR 310 and the BMW G 310 R. So, while the usage and maintenance costs for the F77 Recon are lower in the long run, the initial upfront cost and convenience offered to go anywhere are bound to hold back buyers.
So, while Ultraviolette has made a very interesting start to its journey, its future plans entail something that while remaining premium, can also be a little accessible. Head here to know more.
